The emerging technology is transforming every walk of life. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science are the new buzz words of today. These technological applications across various sectors addresses issues and enables people to rethink how we integrate information and data to improvise decision making. Emerging technologies hold immense potential that would enable and create new experiences in the digital ecosystem.

Keeping pace with technological developments in the emerging areas, GMR Institute of Technology at Rajam, Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh launched two new B.Tech. Programs in emerging technologies. Recognized by AICTE, students can now pursue B.Tech.-CSE in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and B.Tech.-CSE in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science from the academic session 2021-2022. The courses will have an annual intake of 60 students each and admission will be through AP EAPCET.

The curriculum is devised to cater to the industry needs and students will be given training by internal and external faculty to equip them for holistic education. Guest lectures by subject matter experts are a regular feature as part of the learning. Since both are rapidly evolving fields, there are vast scopes for youngsters holding professional degrees in AI & Data Science and AI and Machine Learning. Both are among top job-oriented engineering courses in the country.

GMRIT emphasizes collaborative learning between industry and academia to reinforce its curriculum with practical experience relevant to industry needs. The campus provides a technology-enabled conducive learning environment and provides services round the clock for holistic growth.

Taking a significant step and bringing the best practices in aligning the curriculum with the industry need, GMRIT introduced new age skill training programs and launched Artificial Intelligence Lab last year. Given rapid advances in this field, GMRIT is determined to move forward in this area of innovation.
