IGIA receives Asia Pacific's first Level 4+ Airport Carbon Accreditation
Delhi Airport reached "Level 3+, Neutrality" in 2016, as the first Carbon Neutral Airport in Asia Pacific region. This was the highest level of accreditation at that time and Delhi Airport has maintained "Level 3+, Neutrality" accreditation since then.
And, now with the addition of Level 4 (Transformation) and Level 4+ (Transition) to the Airport Carbon Accreditation Program of Airport Council International (ACI) in 2020, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) also well known as Delhi Airport has yet again justified its capability to justify the highest level of accreditation
This is an outcome of the consistent efforts made by the airports' team to reduce carbon emissions through use of alternate sources of energy, resource conservation programs, green infrastructure, green mobility
