In times like these, those institutes that are taking care of the underprivileged are also not forgotten. One school for visually challenged was supported with dry ration in Delhi and also in Hyderabad. 135 families and 206 individuals were beneficiaries of these initiatives.
Corona prevention kits with masks, sanitizers, kadha, soap, etc were distributed in the communities surrounding Delhi airport, Hyderabad airport and Kamalanga plant. 2550 benefitted with this drive. GMRVF also recognises the tireless work of covid warriors hence it also prepared face masks, PPE kits and have supplied them to government departments and hospitals.
While these activities were taken on directly, there were other initiatives that were supported by contributing to the demand of medical supplies and equipment. Delhi Capitals, GMRVF and JSW Foundation, pledged Rs 1.5 crore to Delhi-based NGOs Hemkunt Foundation and Uday Foundation towards procuring essential medical supplies needed to fight Covid-19. 150 oxygen cylinders were provided to District Hospital, Sonabhadra, Uttar Pradesh.
